It is that time of year again, time for the Super Bowl!!
The Super Bowl this year is Sunday February 3rd & will feature the Los Angeles Rams playing the New England Patriots. Kick off is at 3:30 pm and will be aired on CBS. Super Bowl LIII will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Falcons. It’ll be the first Super Bowl hosted at the stadium, which opened in 2017.
Everybody has different traditional for their big Super Bowl parties, but we have a few ideas to you could add to yours to makes things fun & festive.
First things first, its fun to have great football related décor for everyone to enjoy. You can always go buy all the pre-made décor that they will have at your local super market or craft store, or try these simple DIY things to spruce things up.
Try making these football paper chains, just like you would make for a Christmas countdown. All you need is brown paper, scissors, a stapler or tape, and a white marker to create the football finger threads. These could be made before hand & used as a countdown to the big day or can be hung up for the day of the game.
We especially like this décor piece because it looks great but also is very functional! All you need is green wrapping paper or butcher paper, scissors, tape, & a white marker, white electrical tape, or white paint if you want to wait for it to dry. You can cover your counter how its shown in the picture, or maybe your coffee table where everyone will be gathered.
Other things you can add to your Super Bowl party to mix things up is some games! These are best when they have to do with the football game or commercials and everyone can be included, adults & kids alike.
A quick & easy thing would to create a photo booth with props & a back drop. Everything can be football themed and maybe even feature the logos of the teams playing. You can do group shots after each quarter of the game & try to show with your poses how the game is going. This is great fun for everyone & then documents a fun day with friends & family.
Another easy & fun game you can play through the game is Super Bowl Bingo. There are many online Bingo cards you can print out and have a card for everyone. You mark off the boxes as the game goes on, and the winner can get a cool football themed prize. This is an easy way to keep up with the game & commercials but still be interacting with each other.
Whatever you may do at your Super Bowl party, we hope you have a great time! This is always a great reason to get together as friends & family and celebrate an American tradition!
