Last weekend Bob and I wandered through farm country on the Placer County Farm and Barn Tour.  While at Twin Brooks Farm near Penryn, we purchased a bottle of Snow’s Citrus Court Mandarin Orange Stir Fry Sauce.  This concoction is made locally from organically-grown Owari Satsuma mandarin oranges.  Monday night Bob stir-fried fresh carrots in this delicious fat-free sauce.  Yummy!

The Snow Citrus Court is a family-owned citrus orchard in Newcastle, California, just a few minutes southwest of Auburn and about 30 minutes northeast of Sacramento.  The Snow family also grows four different kinds of lemons (Lisbon, Meyer, Eureka, and Santa Teresa) and Bearss limes.  We are also fond of their persimmons and figs.

Many of the Snow Citrus Court vinaigrettes, sauces, and marinades are fat-free.  We look forward to purchasing more tasty items from the Snow family booth at our popular Mountain Mandarin Festival when it comes to the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn on November 19, 20, 21, 2010.  Hope to see you there.
