The Lake of the Pines Clubhouse is the center and the heart of our community.
So many memories. Friday dinners, dances, parties, New Year’s Eve, Christmas celebrations, meetings, local politics, Easter egg hunts, craft fairs, talent shows, casino nights, bingo, weddings, Mom and Dad’s 50th Anniversary, Dad’s memorial service.
Buddha teaches of about the impermanence of all things. Change is inevitable. Here’s an illustration of the teaching right in our own back yard.
Soon, a brand new gathering place will rise from the rubble of the old . . .
. . . but during this demolition phase, I’m mourning the loss of our old clubhouse.
