Our remodel project, named Grizabella after the down-and-out feline who sings “Memories” in CATS, is done at last.

We celebrated with an open house yesterday, Saturday, June 25, 2011.

New redwood front steps welcome you to a wide porch.

Our friend Bunny Cherman kvetched that the front door looked like it was floating above the porch.

Lowering the house seemed like an excessive correction.  I found some used sky hooks at the surplus store and hoisetd the porch up a couple of inches. Looks a lot better doesn’t it?  Thanks, Bunny!
